How it works

Every new client starts with a consultation.

Fifteen minutes, free, in-studio or by video. It's the best way to work out what you want, what will actually suit you, and how much time and money to set aside. For returning clients, booking straight in is fine.

  1. i.Send an email or text.Tell me a little about what you're after — no detail required.
  2. ii.15-minute consultation.In-studio or by video. Free, no pressure.
  3. iii.I'll quote you honestly. An accurate number after we've talked, not a vague one upfront.

i. Signature service

Blonde & colour.

Foils, balayage, toners, root retouches, full colour, and colour correction. Blonde is my specialty — it's what I'm known for and the work I genuinely love.

I use Kemon Cramer Color, and I'll always tell you honestly whether what you want is the right call for your hair.

Most colour services take up to about four hours, depending on length and what we're doing.

A note on pricing. Pricing is discussed at consultation — every head is different, and I'd rather give you an accurate number after a quick chat than a vague one upfront.

ii. The careful work

Hair-loss support.

Toppers, extensions, and integration with your own hair — fitted, matched, and cut in so they sit and move the way your hair does.

I know that walking into a salon and exposing your hair loss is daunting. A lot of my clients come to Edit. nervous, sometimes barely wanting to talk about it. Most tell me they feel at ease almost as soon as they sit in the chair — that's the part of the job I'm proudest of.

Edit. is a judgement-free zone. Whether your hair loss is from menopause-related thinning, alopecia, post-medical treatment, genetics, or something you don't have a name for yet — you don't need to explain yourself to book.

Complete privacy.

You'll never be seen by another client. Arrive with or without your current topper or wig — whatever you're comfortable in.

My full attention.

While you're in my chair, you're my sole focus. Always one-on-one, never rushed.

No pressure.

The first conversation is just a conversation. If it isn't right for you, that's a completely fine outcome.

Real options.

Topper fitting, integration with your own hair, cut-in. Extensions for clients whose loss is in density rather than patches.

Video consults nationwide.

If you're outside Waikato, we can do the whole first conversation by video. Many clients find it easier.

Ongoing care.

Maintenance appointments to refresh fit, cut and colour-match as your own hair changes through the year.

A note on the work itself

"Most people don't realise how much goes into finding the right hair solution for one specific person. The right base, the right colour match, the right cut, the right way of attaching it so it sits the way your own hair would. It's slow, considered work — and it's why I do it on its own, not slotted in beside other appointments."

iii. Length, volume, or both

Hair extensions.

Extensions for length, volume, or both. The right method depends on your hair and what you're after — we'll work it out at your consultation.

I'll match colour, assess your hair's condition, and give you a realistic cost and timeline before anything's booked. The wrong method on the wrong hair causes more problems than it solves — so we start slow.
